Testimony Tuesdays: How God Set Me Free From Anxiety
King James Bible
There can be so many reasons to be tempted to be anxious, but you have the greatest power in the universe on your side! Are you looking for Bible verses for anxiety, worry, or stress to help you deal with these things in your life? We do not pretend to be therapists or doctors and we recommend that anyone dealing with an anxiety disorder seek professional help. However, anxiety can also be the tendency to stress and to worry and to be restless and fearful about things. Have you ever experienced that gnawing feeling in the pit of your stomach? Perhaps that helplessness that often goes along with it?
Posted on Oct 12, in General. The other day I was listening to the excellent podcast from John Piper Ask Pastor John , which was talking about what bible verses to turn to when in the midst of depression. If that is the struggle you are going through, I encourage you to listen to the original here. John piper outline 5 different types of verse to turn to in such times. As any doctor will tell you, depression is also closely aligned with anxiety, and so I thought I would offer 6 different types of verse to read when going through anxiety.
The Bible is not a dispensary that we come to for our daily dose of inspiration or good feelings. Nevertheless, the Bible does speak directly to the depressed , which is good news for people like me who often find themselves engulfed in the darkness. So yes, there are Bible verses for depression and hopelessness. Print them out. Think about them and rejoice in them.

Isaiah - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Philippians - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Read More Proverbs - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad. What does the Bible say about? Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
