Children Book Readings - Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman
Share on:. If a bear approaches you in the woods and asks you for help counting, the only numbers you will need to be aware of are the steps you take pegging it in the opposite direction. Thankfully, the bear of this story is a friendly creature and he hangs out mostly with his woodland pals and not terrified humans. Can he help us count to five before the terror grips us? Bear and pals love living in the forest because there is so much to see and do.

Hello, friends! Bear is curled tightly in his warm winter cave, enjoying a long nap as the winds howl outside. Escaping the winter weather, a small mouse happens upon the cave, and decides to light a small fire to warm himself, confident that his actions will not disturb Bear. Soon, Hare and Badger join the fun, bringing treats and tea and catching up. Soon more animal friends appear, bringing with them food and conversation, and a small but raucous party begins to form. The friends are having so much fun, in fact, they seem to have forgotten that they are sharing the cave with the very sleepy bear… and that a giant sleeping bear might not appreciate being woken up!
I love reading rhyming books to the kids when they come in for their library visit. The illustrations are awesmoe—super colorful and the animals are all adorable. I definitely will be purchasing more! You are commenting using your WordPress. You are commenting using your Google account. You are commenting using your Twitter account.
