Willies Bar and Grill by Rob HirstBeing a fairly large fan of the music of Midnight Oil, and not knowing much about the band members beyond their music, I thought reading Rob Hirsts book would be a good way for me to learn more of them, the music, etc.
This book was mostly covering a short period of time during Midnight OIls North American tour in the days and months that immediately followed the 11 Sep 2001 attacks on the United States. Rob talked about many of the cities visited, some of that citys history and what he saw on their visit.
He does mention things about other band members, live music, their process for writing certain songs, tour crew, but I thought that material (in terms of volume) was far outpaced by Robs detailed description of the cities of tour stops and such.
Rolling Stone Bar & Grill, Los Angeles
Stopped in for a bite while waiting on my flight. I ordered the Philly. The service was friendly and quick. The Philly was just ok. Price was ridiculous. Was charged full price for a very small sandwich even though I did not have a side with the sandwich.
Rolling Stone is about to take a leap into the entertainment industry, starting with a large-scale restaurant and nightclub in Hollywood. You expect some mark up at an airport. Icing on the cake is the 20 minutes you sit at the bar waiting to get a drink and 25 minutes to get the food. Top it off with the 20 minutes to close your tab and you better have two hours to spend to eat and drink here.

Stood at the podium for about 10 minutes. Waitress walked past my boyfriend and I a minimum of 5 times not making eye contact. Finally a different waitress walked past and told us we can seat ourselves anywhere. I should've Yelped this place before. Service was standard.
I had a long flight to BOS so I wanted a good breakfast. The service was average but friendly. The classic eggs scrambled with sausage was good. You expect some mark up at an airport. Icing on the cake is the 20 minutes you sit at the bar waiting to get a drink and 25 minutes to get the food. Top it Horrible food, high priced and understaffed!
One more Los Angeles blog post. I have almost ten years worth of blog posts now that I can go back and read.. Our last day in Los Angeles was a travel day. Our flight left Los Angeles International Airport at , but I wanted to make sure we got their early. We had to get the rental car back, get to the terminal, then get through TSA. I had no idea how long that was going to take so we left downtown LA about
