May 8, by Michael Florio Leave a Comment. Last year I was invited to take over a last place team in the Sirius XM Dynasty League, with some big-time heavy hitters in the league. This was my first serious dynasty league. Given the competition, my goal in year one was to just not embarrass myself. Since the team I took over finished last, I was gifted the first pick in the rookie draft and ended up with Saquon Barkley first overall and then was lucky enough to nab Baker Mayfield with the first pick in the second round.

I plan on making this a priority next year. The only differences are that my leagues have 30 players with only 12 teams and there is no trading allowed. There is a 2 nd type of league I will be playing on the same site with lesser stakes. This one drafts 50 players per team and you have those players all season long with no free agency or trades. I have been analyzing their picks and was very surprised at some of the selections.

This group of 14 so-called experts has an enormous influence when it comes to setting Average Draft Positions along with identifying sleepers and busts. When you factor in the amount of reach with the representatives from such mediums as ESPN, RotoWire and USA Today then you are really finding out what the average player will be using as their cheat sheet guidelines. As you will soon see in my PPR Draft Strategy article, I do not think any running back is worthy of a first round pick in this scoring setup. The participants are, in draft order:. Antonio Brown should be the consensus first pick in any PPR draft. He will have to start both in this format and there is too much inconsistency there for me.
