Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy (Gallagher Girls #2)
Strong second book in this series. Everything I loved from the first was here--the friendship, its wit, the girls' timeless struggle to parse out the opposite sex, and the strongly executed concept of it all. But it also carries implications from the first book and dangles tantalizing questions for the next ones. I'll be reading on. Highly recommended by jaded reader. I'm eager to read the next one because I feel like there's so much more to the story. Random Note: I didn't count, but I swear she used the word "clandestine" thirty times in the book; since it's a unique word, it was a bit odd to see it so much.
