There are a lot of people who are studying Korean who have been searching for Korean subtitles to watch along with Korean movies or dramas. I think theyre definitely useful for understanding grammar and expanding vocabulary. You used to be able to find Korean subtitle from viki.com but the community members that are hard at work to provide you the complete subtitles, 60% 70% 80% etc. Or you used to be able to find transcripts for SBS dramas over their website, but that function seems to have disappeared. In any case, the transcripts were quite difficult to follow, as the dialogue from the entire cast was all mashed together.
For a self-confessed K-drama addict like me, there’s nothing more fun in learning Korean than through the wonderful world of Korean dramas. I hunt down Korean subtitle for Korean Drama for a year, and read them as I watch re-watch or as I listen to the episodes. Dramas allow me to learn better pronunciation and intonation and it allow me to improve my listening skills. But aside from giving sounds to words, dramas also associate words to a face, to an emotion, to a feeling, to a situation, to a story. And that sound that face, that emotion, that feeling, that situation, that story is what’s gluing the words to your memory.

Goblin: The Lonely and Great God is a blend of paranormal, fantasy and romance where the secondary characters are as important and vital as the hero and heroine. Where grief goes hand in hand with joy and where the answers to questions are not easily obtained. We were taken by the richly developed and fantastical world but we have sustained by the all too human emotions of the characters. At that price it is definitely worth reading!
This is Episode 1-3 for all beginners who start to learn Korean language. Good luck!
Goblin: The Great and Lonely God. Review
It was shown on the cable network tvN from December 2, , to January 21, The drama was written by popular drama writer Kim Eun-sook. Guardian's final episode recorded an Kim Shin Gong Yoo is a goblin and protector of souls. He is the landlord of the grim reaper Lee Dong-wook , who is in charge of taking deceased souls. Wanting to end his immortal life, Shin has been looking for his human bride, the only person who can end his life. Meanwhile, Ji Eun-tak Kim Go-eun is a high school student who remains optimistic despite the tragedies and difficulties she has experienced in her life.
Kim Shin was once a great warrior during the Goryeo Dynasty, but now lives as an immortal goblin after he met an untimely and wrongful death. All of their lives seem to be intertwined together, but how? Will Kim Shin find his freedom or is he destined to remain on Earth forever? Unlike many of the others in this genre, Goblin displays a shockingly high level of mythology and philosophy that is just so rare in episodic dramas. Although the overall plotline is atypical of the usual drama, elements of it are more familiar and predictable. The ending, however, did catch me off guard.
The initial action takes place in the Goryeo era. The king rose to power while still a child and was brought up by the cunning and ill-intentioned eunuch Park Joong-Heon. Although his feelings for his bride are sincere, he is manipulated by his eunuch into becoming more fearful and suspicious of the Shin family, whom the people considered as the real pillars of the country. Filled with rage and envy, Wang Yeo sends Kim Shin into a battle to secure the Northern border and orders him to die on the battlefield. When Kim Shin returns victorious, the king brands him as a traitor and threatens him with the lives of his family in order to force him to take his own life. Encouraged by his sister the queen , Kim Shin refuses to capitulate and makes a final attempt to reach the king in order to persuade him to break away from the evil influence of Park Joong-Heon.
