L-DK, Vol. 02 by Ayu WatanabeCheck out my blog for other reviews: The Butterfly Reader
Shuuseis sister visits and he and Aoi decide to act like a couple so she will stop bugging Shuusei about moving in with her while shes between guys. It goes kinda well until the sister demands they kiss... then it falls completely apart.
A new guy (Komine) enters the picture and hes got a thing for Aoi wont leave her alone, he wants her to like him back, even going so far as to play up that shes his master and hell do whatever she wants. Weird guy. Shuuseis apartment is finally fixed and ready to go, he moves out and Komine moves in with Aoi, without her consent kinda. It doesnt go quite as Komine played and by the end of it, Shuuseis apartment is ruined again and he must move in with Aoi once more.
Im really rooting for these two. I think they are so freaking cute together. The only thing I dont like how sometimes Aoi cries for no reason. Like youd think shed want Shuusei to kiss her but she starts crying instead. It really makes no sense to me. If I liked a guy and we had to pretend to date, Id kiss him, a lot. Not cry when he tried. I just dont get it at all honestly.
Besides for that, Im still enjoying this story and I hope that our couple can finally move on without the weird Komine in the picture. The art is still stunning and I cant wait to read the next one.
To add to this, a series of crazy happenings result in the two living together under a single roof! Shusei is known to be a heartless guy, and Aoi particularly hates him after he coldly rejected her best friend, so a life of cohabitation seems like a recipefor disaster. Just finished reading vol 2 of LDK. The story seems familiar, maybe I watched the movie and forgot about it. Leider ist in letzter Zeit ziemlich viel Stress beim mir privat gewesen.
Even in her final year of middle school when she confessed to the boy she liked for three years, he couldn't even recall her name. Now in high school, she is working as a temporary manager of her school's boys volleyball club against her will. Kao's older brother, an alumnus, currently a teacher and the advisor of the club, placed the responsibility on her shoulders to recruit Kuze Nagisa for the volleyball club if she wanted to quit being the manager. Even though silently observing someone as dazzling as Kiryuu in the club is the only redeeming thing about being the manger, Kao's body aches. She is at her limit and wants to quit being the manager. But no matter how much effort she puts on recruiting Kuze she simply cannot convince him to join.

Shuusei Kugayama is the "prince" of his high school, but he always turns down confessions—including one from Aoi Nishimori's best friend. Although she initially hates him for this, when Shuusei moves in next door to Aoi, who lives alone, she starts thinking that he might not be such a bad guy after all Chapter Chapter Secret Night. Chapter Winner and Loser.
