Love and Sex in Islam - Dr Zakir Naik

Is Having Phone Sex Allowed in Islam?

These days mobile phones have become very commmon and often boys and girls tend to have sex on phone by pretending to be and sounding like having real sex together. Even though physically both are apart, but they fantasize having sex together. I wanted to ask whether this thing as a sin is equal to having real physical zina? Or it is less than a real physical sex and can be done if one fears commiting adultery? All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. Nevertheless, this kind of Zina is not equal to the actual Zina having sexual intercourse , but it remains prohibited. Indeed, this form of Zina does not relieve sexual desire, rather it aggravates it.

Some are children. Often pregnant and unable to prove coercion, they find themselves branded criminals for having sex outside marriage. Zina is an Islamic legal term, meaning illicit sexual relations, that can be found in the Koran and the hadith the collected words and acts of the Prophet Muhammad. Muslim empires like the Ottomans, the Mughals and the Safavids defined zina in different ways. But it usually refers to adultery and extramarital sex. In the past, punishments for breaking zina laws included whipping and even death by stoning.

Islam is one of the most conservative religions, and most of its rules emphasize on the importance of sexual sanctity and abstinence before marriage. Phone sex is essentially sending sexually explicit messages including nude photos or having sexually charged conversations. In some cases phone sex involves masturbation. Calling a phone sex line is considered an act of fahisha or indecency. Islam clearly prohibits sex before marriage; in fact having sexual thoughts about any other person other than your legally married partner is against Islamic rules. The Quran is crystal clear on remaining sexually chaste until marriage this means abstaining from any sexual acts, illicit conversations, thoughts or even sexual innuendo. However, phone sex is not as great as sin compared to actually having sexual intercourse which is referred to as zina or unlawful sexual relations between Muslims who are not married to one another.

My fiance through chatting used to pretend having sex I regret about it I'm no scholar nor am I an expert but I do know in my heart that Allah is most just, fair, and willing to forgive those who are truly sorry for their sins and try their best to improve. InshAllah you will be forgiven. Just remember to keep faith in Him.
