There is only ONE requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. There are no strings attached to N. We are not affiliated with any other organizations, we have no initiation fees or dues, no pledges to sign, no promises to make to anyone.

Although the organization was originally founded to address narcotic abuse and addiction, NA now welcomes anyone who is trying to overcome any type of drug or alcohol dependence. What is the Purpose of NA? The purpose of NA is to help those suffering from addiction through the process of recovery and to spread the message that recovery is possible. NA is an anonymous step program. It offers a safe space where members do not have to give their name or any other identifying information.
All rights reserved. Can we open this meeting with a moment of silence for the addict who still suffers, followed by the WE version of the Serenity Prayer. Is there anyone here attending their first NA meeting, or this meeting for the first time? You are the most important people here! There is one must that applies to everyone attending, that no drugs or paraphernalia be on your person at meetings. If you are carrying anything please take it outside and leave it, then you are welcome back in. This is for the protection of the meeting place and the NA fellowship as a whole.
