How can i trust god more

What if I have to deal with this fractured relationship for the rest of my life? You get the point. Of course, this never ends well. I usually end up feeling really anxious, burdened , and like my own personal apocalypse is sure to happen. So how can I learn to trust in God even when life is really hard and confusing? Here are five biblical strategies.

The cold water lapped at my feet as I stood gazing into the deep and murky water of our local swimming pool. The blazing hot July sun beat down fiercely on my five-year-old body as I shook with fear. However, as my eyes glanced away from the deepness of the swimming pool and into the steady blue eyes of my father, my timidness was calmed. I promise that I will catch you. Assured by his encouragement, I took five steps backwards, and with a running start, cannonballed into the cool water. A squeal of laughter escaped my mouth as I was lifted high into the air by the strong arms of my father.

In a world where most of us get beat up to one degree or another, many people come out of these beatings with a problem in being able to trust anyone else — ever again! Our neighborhoods are no longer as safe as they used to be. Bizarre, random, and senseless type crimes seem to be on the increase with all of the shootings that have occurred at our high schools, and now in our churches and in the courthouses themselves with the latest round of senseless tragedies that have just occurred. All of us, to one degree or another, have been wronged in some way throughout the course of our lives. And for some, these wrongs have been vicious, nasty, and sometimes extremely traumatic — especially those who have been victims of crimes such as assaults, robberies, and actual murders of close friends or family.
