Marquette County Cares is a community-based coalition that seeks to improve the lives of youth in Marquette County through education and empowerment. We welcome the participation of all community members. Our coalition follows the Communities That Care (CTC) model.
Risk Factor Vote
Marquette County youth are demonstrating a high level of alcohol use, above the national average. Our youth are also reporting elevated risk factors, known to increase risk of early alcohol and drug use. Vote for which risk factor we should work on in OUR community, over the next two years. Marquette County Cares will focus prevention efforts on the top two, chosen by the community.

Our CTC coalition is currently in Phase Three–Develop a Community Profile
Tasks for this Phase:
Review data from the community’s youth survey.
Identify priority risk and protective factors that predict health and behavior problems.
Assess community resources that address these factors.
Identify gaps to be filled in existing resources.
Visit our public Facebook Events for upcoming meetings and activities.
Our Work Groups
CTC operates as small work groups, which each meet monthly for about an hour to tackle specific tasks; community members are welcome to join one or more!
Marquette County Cares Coalition is funded by NorthCare
We are part of UP Coalition Network, a group of 14 coalitions working in all 15 counties in a UP-wide effort to create safer communities–healthier youth–one member at a time.
