No, it is not worth the drive out there. You will be able to see nothing- absolutely nothing. You are not allowed to get anywhere close to that area. It is heavily protected by armed guards and helicopters. If planes can't fly over it even some normal military air traffic is prohibited what makes you think a tourist will be allowed near it? You will see signs that say "use of deadly force is authorized"- and they are not kidding.
